Thought we'd meet one last time The way you move just bent my mind In a deep dark trance you can’t see Your fathomless eyes don't see me Burned out words kiss goodbye Silhouette ponytail Your black hair swinging shakes my head Shadow lies across the bed Shake your head with your black ponytail Shake your head with your black ponytail Shake your head with your black ponytail Shake your head with your black ponytail In the glare of a headlight smile Black ray gun shrinking man Late night black lake Sinking like a stone Throw back words out my way Looks like time to go Shake your head with your black ponytail Not dancing just saying no Shake your head with your black ponytail Shake your head with your black ponytail Shake your head with your black ponytail Shake your head with your black ponytail

Falling 04:01
Lyrics I was looking for a smooth trip, a blue sparkling cool dip, you're wheels were spinning as you hummed 'Summer Breeze' and slipped through every cocktail bar. I was thinking you were up there, then I was thinking you were out there. You shot the breeze and took a rocket-ship, you took your Nissan up to the stars. Falling for you, falling for you, Falling for you, falling over for you. I was looking for a smooth trip, but you span off at the first slip, we're off the road I'm looking at you I was thinking you were up there, then I was thinking you were out there. You shot the breeze and took a rocket-ship, you took your Nissan up to the stars. Falling for you, falling for you, Falling for you, falling over for you.

Lyrics Digital numbers show the score Three hours or more before the dawn World spin around, black on black They lie they say he's coming back Suddenly California sun Burning the corner of the room Jim Rockford's smile eases my mind Wide sun filled streets in a wider world He eases my mind Beneath the empty cyan sky Cruising the sidewalk, Jim and I Your neon name sparks over town Stumbling, falling, hit the ground He eases my mind He eases my mind

Mercury Soul 04:20
Lyrics Mercury Soul You close your eyes, the waking dreams are all too real. Mercury Soul No half-full glass, you drank it down and you want some more. Mercury Soul Want to be made whole but being split is all you know. Mercury Soul Your head is hot but your eyes are cold, you’ve got a Mercury Soul. Mercury Soul Your twisted smile says every silver lining has a cloud. Mercury Soul Technicolour highs switch and your day ends in black and white. Mercury Soul The lead-filled days weigh down upon a quicksilver mind. Mercury Soul You’re so hot but the world grows cold, you’ve got a Mercury Soul. You’ve got a Mercury Soul.

Lyrics He’s here, he’s there, he’s everywhere, the man with the boozer head, the man made of smoke. So near, but far, he’s simmering in his car, then shimmering like a star, for hours and hours. He tries to stay but you can’t see him for most of the day, can’t really hear him, but that’s his way. The man’s made of smoke. He’s up, he’s down, the slightest breeze blows him around, the heated air sends his eyes to the ground, the man made of smoke. He screams and shouts, but on the inside, it’s not coming out. He’s trying hard not to think about being engaged. He’s up, he’s down, the escalator moves him around, the video loop sends his eyes to the ground, the man’s made of smoke. He’s here, he’s there, he’s everywhere, the man with the boozer head, the man made of smoke.

Lyrics Try to keep cool when you’re overheated, I need to find a space to loose myself in. Use more words and my head will burst open, keep pushing me and I might fall over. Crash around in my mind, ‘til everything is broken. Sweet words crushing down, your love is a hammer. I try to keep cool when you’re overheated, I need to find a space to loose myself in. Take a look in my eyes, you’ll see I’m overconnected. When I open my mind, it’s all interconnected. Try reading your mind and the chaos reflected. Take a look in my eyes, you’ll see I’m overconnected.

Lost 04:32
Lyrics Fallen into your world, telling me your name. Watched the landscape changing, nothing seems the same. Walking out into your world, strangest flowers in bloom, petals coloured acid shades filled up my room. Lost my way around your world, tell me – what’s my name? Gazing at the pictures and falling through the frame. Speeding to the horizon, cannot see the end. Picked me up with your bullet train and let me down again. (You) never stop, never stop, can’t give in, won’t let it drop. Lost my way in your world, orbiting your loopy star while you search for your story, looking for the start. Trying to find a way home, nothing looks the same. You’re a black hole waiting to happen, tell me – what’s your name? (You) never stop, never stop, can’t give in, won’t let it drop.

Missing 04:40
Lyrics You are missing even when you’re here. Cells soak up the inky blue. Indelible, indelible you. About three, Wednesday afternoon the sky turned black, bleeding through. Indelible, indelible you. You are missing even when you’re here. You saturate my every hour. Indelible, indelible you. You weren’t kidding when you said you were missing. You are missing even when you’re here.

Track Descriptions

Shake Your Head (with your black ponytail)
There are the shadows of anger looming and plenty of misunderstanding at the end of a relationship.

Falling
Cool or crazed? Or maybe she's both...

Jim Rockford's Smile
Classic TV theme inspired. In the early hours of the morning, a jilted woman finds strange comfort in a 1970s TV detective show.

Mercury Soul
Sometimes as fast as light, sometimes heavy as lead, they’re struggling against the tide of normality and convention in a small town. Their life feels like a bad fit.

The Man Made of Smoke
Unpredictable, insubstantial, unstable, unreliable but vulnerable – who is the man made of smoke?

Overconnected
Sometimes there’s just too much going on. They’ve taken themselves to the edge, but it might be someone else that pushes them over.

Lost
In someone else’s world, overwhelmed and excited, but unable to read what’s going on. Is this safe? Is she going to get damaged?

Peaceful
Momentary release from the big background hum. The sensation is powerful, but the noise is never far away.

Missing
There’s a kind of madness that infects you sometimes – you miss someone too much and you know that they don’t feel the same. The obsession warps time and reality.
